On his third EP, Five Suns injects a rare dynamism and variety in his return to vibe.digital. The producer’s fondness for incorporating novel patterns and sound styles into the Wave genre gains more ferocity on the Helios EP. Piecing together elements from his dubstep background, with pulsing, swirling synths, and ghost-like atmospheres, “Helios EP” is heralded by a pilot’s voice in the title track, signaling a mission in space. An apt visual for a sonic adventure into a new world.
